...my recent absence is mostly down to fairly temperamental computer but also partly to blame is the wonderful weather and my current quest to find a new house for us to live in (a quest which is so far going very badly indeed!) I do believe I have seen over 20 houses now, it's not that we're particularly fussy, honest, it's just that there is a huge demand for rented accommodation here at present and by the time we've viewed a house and thought about it overnight, we ring the estate agent the next day to discover the house has gone already, that's if we even manage to get a viewing in, I cannot tell you how many have been cancelled as the house has already been taken.
Anyway as a result of lack of computer time I have been doing rather a lot of crochet instead. I am working on a big project which I cannot share just yet but which is coming along rather nicely indeed and in between working on that I have also been completing a few other projects...
granny square triangle bunting::
This is my own design and I have been working on writing a pattern for it to share with you, once my sister has tested it for me I'll post it here pattern now available here.
(if you fancy testing it for me too I would be very appreciative! I've never written a pattern before and therefore would love some feedback before letting it loose on the world wide web! Either leave a comment on here or email me [email protected] and I'll email it over to you)
It's a very simple design and this short version only takes around 2 hours (for me anyway) to put together.
easiest crochet wool soaker by Julie West::
This pattern came from ravelry, you can see details here, and it really was very very easy indeed!
I didn't follow the pattern to the letter, you can see my notes on it here.
This took me 3 hours at most, using up some left over wool from Milo's overcoat I knitted a while back, and now he has his first ever wool soaker (the vanilla I attempted a while ago was a complete disaster) now I just need to lanolize it and we're ready to go.
We had a quick fitting and photo session this morning, but trying to get photos of my newly walking (yes that's right walking!!) babe is fairly tricky!
