...I am so impressed with this for these reasons...
- my first attempt at circular needles
- it took me a week
- I love this yarn
- it looks fairly sweet on my boy
- I used up some beads of my own I already had
- the yarn was some I also already had
It was great to learn some new things, both using circular needles and a few new stitches, the kitchener stitch to finish off, cable cast on and ssk decreases.
I love love love that after I had finished the actual knitting part there were just a few ends to weave in and beads to sew on, no massive seams to sew together!
So here is my boys first sweater for the cooler season, which seems to be approaching far too quickly now and after this success I am more than a little inspired to knit up some more!
This pattern is the placket neck pullover by Joelle Hoverson, found on ravelry.
Aren't circular needles the best! How about double points?

indeed!! Just knit knit knit no purling!! I learnt to use double points a year or so ago and had no problems but for some reason circulars seemed scarier!! So glad I finally had a go though.
