...after a rather pointless trip to the doctors for Milo's 1 year jabs, which have had to now be postponed until next week as he has a temperature, I was very please to come home and find some very lovely things had arrived in the post.
These included some lovely little star shaped studs from cherrycreek on etsy...
And a super sweet letter from my niece...
I sent her a writing set last week and asked if she would like to write me letters. Turns out she would and so this is my first, of what I hope will be many.
I used to have so many penpals when I was younger, maybe not quite young as Bethany is now, but I thought it would be such a good exercise in reading and writing skills for her, plus it will bring me (and hopefully her) much pleasure.
...so, inspired by this lady (I am also thinking of enrolling in her next ecourse) I dug my polaroid collection out this evening. In a way I'm almost wishing I hadn't as I have spent the whole evening getting more and more frustrated about no longer being able to purchase the film I require. Had I known just a couple of years ago, when I popped to Jessops on my lunchbreak to pick up 88 film no problem, that now I would be trawling the internets and paying more than double the price, I think I would have ordered hundreds and bought a fridge especially for storing them. But alas I didn't think that far ahead and after years of neglect my poor cameras have been brought back out and are now longing to be used.
I do have my eye on a few ebay listings and am hoping the impossible project will bring out and 88/87 equivalent as they have already done for the 600 and SX-70.
So for now I shall just stare longingly at my cameras and admire others lovely shots.
Here are a few of my favourites found on flickr...
...OK so it was actually quite a while ago now, but I've been fairly rubbish at keeping up to date!
We went down to visit my bestest friend in all the world, who lives in the very charming Helston.
The weather was beautiful and we even managed to celebrate Milo's first birthday with a picnic on the beach, before returning home for lots of cake!!
Johnny had to return home early to get back to work, but Milo and I stayed on an extra couple of days, for more picnics, beachy fun and lots more cake.
I miss my Melly very much indeed but I do love visiting Cornwall-so it's not all bad.
On my last night she pulled out a huge box of photo albums and spent the whole evening reminiscing and laughing at ourselves a lot.
This was just one of those terrible photos! I'm on the far right and Melly is the lovely blonde in the middle.
...I'm sorry for running off like that without a word!
It has been all kinds of busy here including birthdays, holidays and lovely friends. I am still around, just about, but taking things a little slower at the moment, as my little one year old becomes more demanding by the day (in a good way) and I get back in to the routine of being at home!
I will be reopening my shops sometime next week (I'll be sure to let you know when).
I will also be sure to blog about our lovely trip to Cornwall and the little one's first birthday, soon.
I hope you all had lovely easter's and are enjoying the lovely sunshine. xxx
...love this...
Just wanted to pop in to share this bracelet made by one of my customers, whoopidoo, from some of my ninja beads.
