...because I actually have about a million things I need to do...instead I did some baking (and now of course here I am telling you about the baking!).
Originally I was going to make turkish delight and marshmallows...but went shopping with the list of required ingredients in my head...not a good idea. I got home to discover I was missing one vital ingredient for both reciepes.
So instead I made rosewater cupcakes and little chocolate cupcakes.
The rosewater is actually in the icing and not the cakes themselves, I just made up a batch of glaze icing and added about a teaspoon of rosewater (Johnny thinks it's too much, I think it's just right, but I do love that flavour). I used Nigella's basic fairy cake recipe from the domestic goddess.
For the chocolate cakes I just used the same recipe but replaced a little of the flour for cocoa powder and put in some dark chocolate we had in the stashed away in the cupboard, usually for use in chilli's.
They are all delicious, even if I do say so myself!
